New Yorker Electronics has recently introduced two new Vishay Panel Potentiometers, the P16F and PA16F, which feature integrated knobs and IP67 sealing. These potentiometers are designed to simplify designs and optimize costs in industrial and audio applications.

One notable feature of these devices is the integration of a knob with the panel potentiometer into a single component. This eliminates the need to purchase and assemble a separate knob, making the overall design process more streamlined. Additionally, the potentiometers have a compact design with only the mounting hardware and terminals located on the back side of the panel. This reduces the clearance required behind the panel to less than 15 mm.

The PA16F variant is specifically designed for audio applications and utilizes a conductive plastic resistive element. On the other hand, the P16F variant, which utilizes a cermet resistive element, is intended for industrial motor drives, welding equipment, HVAC and lighting systems, and control panels. Both variants feature full IP67 sealing, ensuring reliable operation in extreme environmental conditions.

The potentiometers offer customization options such as knob markings, resistance values, wires, connectors, detent options, and switch options. They can also be provided with a metallic knob upon request. The P16F and PA16F devices undergo testing according to CECC 41000 or IEC 60393-1 standards.

Samples and production quantities of the P16F and PA16F potentiometers are currently available, with lead times of 14 weeks.
